Berndt Group Named Webby Award’s Official Honoree for Maryland Science Center Web site

BALTIMORE, MD—The Berndt Group, www.berndtgroup.net, a Baltimore, Maryland-based full service interactive agency announced that it has been named an Official Honoree in the 10th Annual Webby Awards for their work on the Maryland Science Center web site www.mdsci.org. This distinction is given to those sites and teams that have demonstrated a standard of excellence.
The Webby Awards is the leading international honor for web sites and individual achievement in technology and creativity. Of the more than 5,500 entries submitted to the 10th Annual Webby Awards, fewer than 20% were distinguished as an Official Honoree. This honor signifies an outstanding caliber of work. The Berndt Group was recognized alongside top agencies and companies such as Avenue A / Razorfish, AOL, Paramount Pictures, and marthastewart.com.

The Maryland Science Center web site was developed to capture the
interactive experience of a Science Center visit. Features include
a Flash-driven “magnifying glass” that gives site
visitors a fun way to interact with the site’s homepage,
a homework helper that generates study questions and links to
external resources, trip planners, online ticketing, and email
newsletter signup.
This is The Berndt Group’s second Webby Awards recognition,
they received the People’s Voice Winner in the category
of Cultural Institutions for the National Aquarium in Baltimore
web site in 2005.
