MICHELLE GÉCZY, Vice President/COOAs Chief Operating Officer (COO), Michelle Géczy has full oversight and management of all aspects of the company's operations including resource planning, financial planning, client relations, human resources, marketing and business development, among others. Michelle knows everything that is going on at The Berndt Group, at all times! Working with internal project teams and clients, Michelle ensures that all projects The Berndt Group takes on run smoothly and efficiently. Along with John Berndt, she also serves as a strategic consultant on projects. Joining The Berndt Group in 2001, Michelle previously held positions as a Senior Project Manager and Director of Account Services for the company. She has managed project teams on numerous high-profile and award-winning projects including website and kiosk presentations for The National Aquarium as well as a Trip Planner, sites for the Maryland Science Center, Maryland ArtSource, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, The Abell Foundation, The Blaustein Philanthropic Group, The France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, Gallagher Evelius & Jones LLP, The Shelter Group, SafeNet and many others. Michelle has managed resources on large-scale projects implemented in content management systems including Sitecore, Ektron, CrownPeak, RedDot/OpenText, Site Executive, Plone, Drupal and Umbraco, among others. Michelle graduated summa cum laude (first in her class; 4.0 all four years) with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania, where she studied history and French. Prior to joining The Berndt Group in 2001, Michelle held positions at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation and Contrack International (an international engineering firm). Her extensive background managing projects for nonprofit and cultural organizations, as well as working in the for-profit sector, has contributed to the success of many Berndt Group projects, including Webby award (the "Oscars of the Web") winning sites for The National Aquarium and the Maryland Science Center, as well as award-winning sites for Maryland ArtSource and Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Sites Michelle has worked on have won Horizon, Summit, ADDY, and WebAwards, among others. |
