Kevin Takacs, Technical Director

Kevin Takacs is The Berndt Group's Technical Director, overseeing the company's eight-person technical department.

Joining The Berndt Group in 2000, Kevin has extensive experience in many operating system, database and programming platforms including various Linux distributions, MS Windows Server, mySQL, MS SQL Server, Python, Java, PHP, Zope/Plone, VB Script and Visual BASIC. Kevin has worked with and managed resources on large-scale projects implemented in content management systems including RedDot, CrownPeak, Ektron, Sitecore, Site Executive, Plone, Drupal and Umbraco, among others.

Kevin led engineering teams on high-profile projects including developing and integrating large scale content management applications for SafeNet, Inc., Maryland ArtSource, Raytheon Infrared, The American Trauma Society, Materials Research Society and many others.

Kevin has also worked on large-scale lead-paint tracking database applications for the City of Baltimore in conjunction with CONNOR Environmental Services, and an innovative publishing system for Loyola University Maryland. At The Berndt Group, Kevin manages both the software development efforts of his programming team and the maintenance of over 100 web sites and related software applications.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art, where he studied painting. Prior to joining The Berndt Group, Kevin was in management at a special events company. He began his career at The Berndt Group as a developer and quickly moved to managing the technical direction of the company.
