.NET Developer (Full-time Position, also looking for Freelancers)
The Berndt Group (TBG), an established and highly respected full-service Web developer, is looking for a full-time software developer to build new .NET Web applications and to maintain existing classic ASP sites. We are also looking for freelancers; we are looking for someone that is reliable and can commit to small and large projects consistently as needed. We are also consistently ranked as a top web design firm and software developer by the Baltimore Business Journal.
The candidate must have at least three years of professional experience developing Web based applications in C# or VB.NET. The role requires that applicant be able to demonstrate skills in application design, database integration, and scalability concepts. The developer will work with the Technical Director and other team members to define requirements and code the project through to completion.
The candidate should be comfortable with working through structured, modular, and well-documented development processes, but also have enough flexibility to work in a mid-size and busy company, working in teams on rapid development projects.
Maturity, creativity, strong problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented process, and the general ability to understand client needs expressed in functional requirements are a must.
The candidate should be proficient in current HTML/CSS/JavaScript techniques. The position requires understanding IIS and MS SQL Server concepts. Additionally, familiarity with Linux/UNIX, Apache, MySQL, Python and any major 3rd party CMS (such as Ektron, Sitecore, CrownPeak) or CRM systems is a definite plus. Familiarity with Open Source CMS and platforms also a plus.
